Discovery Flights 2010:On July 24th
nearly 70 children from various youth groups in San Diego were given a free

Yuma Air show
March 2010:For our 6th consecutive year, AFAC was invited to
participate in the static displays for the MCAS Yuma Airshow.
Great hospitality by the MCAS personnel, tailwinds to the air show and back to
MYF, and great VFR weather all weekend made this a very memorable event! Photos

Christmas Party 2009:Our traditional event in December filled up the banquet room at Filippi�s Pizza Grotto in Mira Mesa, thanks to the very
generous hospitality of our own Steve Esqulin and his
�family� there! An abbreviated business meeting was followed by a wonderful
holiday buffet dinner and awards to the Borrego contest winners. The usual
high-spirited pirate gift exchange took place to put a great final touch on the
evening. Pictures of the festivities were taken by Noel Talampas and are postedhere.
Borrego Fly-In 2009: It was a blast! A number of members who are active
on Facebook have posted impressive pictures and video
clips there,some within seconds or minutes after they occurred... which

Miramar Air Show 2009: The Club again made its presence known on board
the base (our original home) with the newly painted Cardinal on display, and a
full complement of volunteers over the weekend to answer questions, promote the
Club, and enjoy the show � which featured the Canadian Snowbirds and an
exceptionally stunning Blues performance this year! Some 48 people entered our
free flight hour contest, over 80% of them indicating a desire for further

The flight hour raffle drawing was held at the October Board Member meeting,
and the winner was Phil Webster. Congratulations!
